POSITION OF VICE-PRESIDENT

Following Graham Moores decision to stand down from the position of Chairman due to family and work commitments, it was proposed and seconded by the meeting that he be offered the position of Vice President of Wilton HC. This he duly accepted.

INDOOR LEAGUE

It was decided that a team would again be entered in the Indoor League next season, with Andy Kennedy being the Captain and Johnny Couhig his vice Captain.

SUMMER LEAGUE

As in recent seasons, a team is to be entered in the Summer League organised by and played at Norton HCs astroturf facility. The cost of the entry will be covered by the collection of match fees. Tom Lawson is to Captain the team, with his vice Captain being Johnny Couhig.

CLUB CONSTITUTION

The need to generate a Club Constitution was discussed, with Mike Kelley providing a provisional one for the Club and James Sullivan volunteering to look into the format of some other Clubs Constitutions. It was agreed that the next Committee meeting would discuss the position and would have the power to pass an agreed Constitution for Wilton HC.

INTER-TEAM ASSISTANCE

Tony Clarke expressed his displeasure at the level of support given to the 3rd XI with regards to umpiring, even when other teams within the Club were playing at the same venue. Peter Elgey said that he would ensure help from the 1st XI when applicable, by requesting volunteers or the use of a rota system.

CLUB CLOTHING

The possibility of obtaining new Club shirts and/or tracksuits via the Club sponsor "Alphatec" was discussed. It was suggested that a pool of Training tops could be acquired which members could then purchase. Details of the possibilities are to be sorted at the next Committee Meeting.

YOUTH POLICY

The need to push the Clubs Youth policy was stressed. It was stated that the Club has submitted a bid for "Active Sport" funding which will incorporate training at St Peters School. Any members interested in coaching should contact Peter Elgey with respect to the "Active Sport" bid. It was noted that as a Club we rely heavily on St. Peters and Grangefield Schools. The possibility of forming a Youth Development sub-committee was raised.

TRAINING

It was stated that lots of ideas around training were in hand and that they would be pulled together at the next Committee Meeting.
